UNITED STATES ATTORNEY CHARGES

Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that it filed an Information on February 25, 2011, and the defendant entered a plea of guilty on March 29, 2011. Defendant Chapman is scheduled to be sentenced on June 22, 2011.

Jamie Chapman, 37, of Indianapolis, Indiana, is charged in a single count Information with misuse of government insignia on or about February 12, 2010. This charge was filed as a result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Trustee’s Office. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Deborah M. Leonard.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
